My brother, Richard, has a hearing tomorrow, which will determine if he is free of medical supervision associated with his detainment last month. Law enforcement thought he was mentally ill. No doctor that has actually evaluated him appears to have found this assertion to be substantiated. My Book Group

Several months ago I joined the book group held by ladies at my church. And tonight we met to discuss Cokie Robert's Book, Founding Mothers. It's a relatively small group, but I've come to treasure these women. Reading about the women who shaped America's separation from British rule was a wonderful thing to do in tandem with these women. I was at an reception/lecture last night where Jan Shipps talked. Mingling afterwards, she and I had a chance to talk, and got on the topic of Joseph and Nauvoo polygamy. Jan says her closest Mormon friend was Valeen Avery, co-author of the Emma Smith biography 'Mormon Enigma.'
